World Book Day 2025 at Phoenix Bay

On World Book Day last week our school transformed into a world of stories, with students arriving dressed as their favourite book characters and staff fully committed to Where’s Wally costumes!

We kicked off the day with an inspiring assembly, celebrating the magic of books and the importance of fostering a alifelong love of reading. But the real adventure began outside…

Orienteering challenges had students searching for hidden letters and even tracking down Rufus the dog across our beautiful campus. Not only did this make for an engaging and active day, but it also encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and communication – all essential life skills.

Why is World Book Day important?

It’s enables us to:

✅ Strengthen relationships – shared activities bring us closer together.

✅ Building a love for reading – books open doors to new worlds and perspectives.

✅ Developing critical thinking – encouraging curiosity and imagination.

Every celebration like this is an opportunity to reinforce what we believe in – learning should be engaging, interactive, and fun!
