Remembrance Day at Phoenix Bay

This week, students at Phoenix Bay came together to reflect on Remembrance Day with a mix of tradition and thoughtful engagement.

We began by taking a moment to honour the sacrifices made by those that gave their tomorrow for us to have our today.

In a unique twist, students participated in an interactive activity by searching for hidden poppies around the school site.

Each poppy carried a part of a phrase, encouraging our students to piece together a message of remembrance and reflection.

This hands-on experience not only added fun but also created a connection to the day’s meaning but also sparked conversations about remembrance, courage, sacrifice, and resilience.

Finding new ways to engage young people in meaningful reflection is at the heart of what we do at Phoenix Bay. Through activities like these, we aim to make remembrance personal, impactful and memorable.
