On 4th October 2025, Phoenix Bay officially turned four years old!
Four years of new beginnings.
Four years of relationships, resilience, and remarkable growth.
Four years of proving that education can heal, not just assess.
What began as a small school with a big idea, has grown into a thriving community of learning, belonging, and belief.
Over those four years, we’ve:
> Welcomed hundreds of students who once felt education had no place for them.
> Built a culture where keyworker relationships anchor each day.
> Created spaces that nurture wellbeing, from sensory rooms and yoga afternoons to art, sport, and vocational learning.
> Expanded our vision with the opening of Big Red, a brand-new primary building with its own gym, kitchen, and sensory space.
> Strengthened our curriculum, blending academic pathways with vocational opportunities in barbering, cooking, animal care, and more.
> Celebrated progress that can’t always be measured by grades, like confidence, connection, and self-belief.
The name Phoenix Bay was chosen for a reason: rebirth, growth, and calm after the storm. Every student, every family, and every member of staff has helped make that meaning real.
We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and even more excited about what’s ahead.
Here’s to the next chapter, built on the same foundations we started with:
Safety. Belonging. Possibility.
