This November, our very own Ben Miller, Phoenix Bay’s Designated Safeguard Lead and Teacher, joined the Movember movement, growing a moustache to raise awareness for men’s health.
Ben’s commitment wasn’t just about sporting a dashing new look 🥸 – it was about starting conversations and supporting a cause that matters.
What is Movember?
Movember isn’t just about moustaches; it’s about tackling the biggest health issues facing men today. From prostate and testicular cancer to mental health and suicide prevention, Movember is all about early intervention, education, and reducing stigma. Every whisker grown and donation raised supports initiatives that save lives.
At Phoenix Bay, we see the importance of supporting mental health every day – not just for our students but for everyone in our community.
Movember’s mission aligns with our belief that well-being is key to thriving, and we’re so proud of Ben for stepping up to champion this cause!
💡 Why Movember matters:
• 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
• Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men.
• Globally, 1 man dies by suicide every minute.
Movember reminds us to check in on each other, talk openly about health, and take action – whether that’s growing a ‘stache, starting a conversation, or making a donation.
A huge shoutout to Ben for his efforts, creating awareness and to everyone who supported him this Movember.
Together, we’re making a difference!
