Last Friday, our staff and students came together once again to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning.
We baked. We donated. We bought cakes. We shared space, time, and conversation together.
Also a big, big thank you to our Interventions Lead, Jayne, who created a showstopping cake that was auctioned via silent bid for £25. In total, we raised £120 for Macmillan. Thank you to everyone who joined in.
What’s behind the Macmillan Cancer Support’ Coffee Morning?
Since 1990, Macmillan’s Coffee Morning has brought together communities across the UK to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.
It’s held annually, usually on the last Friday of September, this year’s date was Friday 26 September 2025.
Events can be big or small, held anywhere from cafés and schools to homes. Everyone is invited to host or attend.
For us, this event was never just about baking and buying. It was about community, compassion, and a reminder that small acts of kindness add up.
To everyone who mixed batter, brought a cake, placed a bid, or simply poured a cuppa, you helped us raise more than money. You helped us lift spirits.
