Interventions
Phoenix Bay School provides a bespoke Intervention programme for all students. These 1:1, weekly sessions support the individual needs of the student in a positive and proactive way.
The sessions are centred around various areas such as wellbeing mentoring, Social Emotional and Mental Health, Literacy and Numeracy, or therapeutic approaches. They are personalised to meet the specific requirements of each student, enabling them to make progress towards achieving their EHCP targets in a nurturing environment.
At Phoenix Bay School, we work creatively to engage our students, supporting both their access to learning and their ability to form and sustain positive relationships. We recognise the importance of addressing the social and emotional challenges that are common to many of the young people who attend our specialist provision.
With this in mind, we have developed our Wellbeing Hub to provide the wraparound support that enables students to flourish in both their personal and academic development.
At the heart of this provision is The Lighthouse, a safe and welcoming space that is always open and accessible to students. The Lighthouse is home to our Wellbeing Hub team, whose varied expertise and resources are designed to deliver flexible, individualised support whenever it is needed. Our staff are highly skilled and adaptable, ensuring that every student receives the right support at the right time.
more than just a school.
