BEES Farm visit and feeding the wallabies!

Last week Ross and Laura had an amazing time visiting the BEES UK Farm and connecting with Nathan Potts and his team to explore the incredible work they’re doing.

After engaging in discussions, it was inspiring to hear about their initiatives focused on relational practices and trauma-informed approaches to support young people who struggle with mainstream education.

What stood out to Ross and Laura was BEES UK’s unique approach to combining education and therapy through nature and animals.

Their farm provides a safe, nurturing space where young people can rebuild confidence, learn new skills, and find calm amidst life’s challenges. It’s a shining example of how innovative, inclusive education can transform lives.

Laura and Ross were thrilled to meet all the animals, and as you can see from Laura’s joyful expression, she was especially excited to feed the wallabies!

In Ross’s experience, animals possess a unique ability to instil calmness and provide a therapeutic experience through their mere presence.

Truly magical.

A huge thank you to Nathan and the BEES UK team for the warm welcome and for sharing their incredible work.

It’s partnerships and ideas like these that inspire us to keep pushing for more creative, compassionate approaches to education.
