I had the absolute pleasure of hosting the Plymouth Magic Circle’s Close-Up Competition, an event that brought together some of the most talented magicians in the region. From mind-blowing mind reading to jaw-dropping escapology and expert sleight of hand, the night was filled with pure wonder and excitement.
With eight incredible acts competing, the energy in the room was electric.
The judges – including the esteemed Malcolm Norton AIMC (Associate of The Inner Magic Circle), a professional magician, and two non-magicians ‘muggle’ judges – had the tough task of deciding the winner.
🏆 Huge congratulations to Jack Lovegrove, whose engaging storytelling and mind-reading performance took home the top prize! A well-deserved win for a truly magical act.
Magic has a unique way of bringing people together, creating moments of joy and wonder.
I’m grateful to be part of such a vibrant local magic community, and even more thrilled that Phoenix Bay could support an event that celebrates creativity, performance, and skill.
